The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, performance, and member experience of the gym. This role provides leadership to the management and staff teams while driving membership growth, revenue, retention, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, developing and coaching employees, achieving sales and financial goals, maintaining facility standards, and ensuring members receive an exceptional experience. The General Manager serves as the leader of the club and is accountable for creating a positive, results-driven culture that reflects Gold’s Gym standards and values.

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or related field with two years of management experience preferred.
- Current CPR Certification
- Minimum 2 years of direct sales experience preferred
- Fitness industry experience preferred but not required.
- Be promotionally-oriented and have the ability to direct sales through company required outreach programs.
- Strong customer service orientation with proven results.
- Understanding of performance metrics including P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with open, participative leadership style and drive for excellence.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn new data systems as required
- Ability to train and develop employees on a variety of company systems and procedures
- Requires the ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
