Position Overview

The Front Desk is the heart of the gym. Running a friendly, efficient, well-structured front desk operation can be the difference between the success and the failure of a business. Front Desk Associates should exhibit professionalism always and be aware of what is going on in the facility and to ensure that all members are greeted, and the facility is presentable inside and out. Employees may be subject to heavy lifting requirements. Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.

Responsibilities

Contributes to create lifelong fans of fitness.
Maintain info on club history, background, philosophy, facilities, staff, and policies.
Has a thorough knowledge of, adheres to, and enforces company policies, and procedures, as they pertain to gym operations.
Contributes to the gym and the employee’s overall success.
Maintain a working relationship with all departments and their department heads and have a general understanding of how all departments operates.
Front Desk Associates answer the phone and need to have a smile, while doing so. The phone should never ring more than twice.
Direct guests and members to the right people if they come in or call about issues/ questions/suggestions.
Front Desk Associates have a daily checklist that is expected to be finished and initialed during every shift along with any cleaning that needs to be done.
There is paperwork at the Front Desk and the associate is responsible for keeping up on all the logs and understanding their value.
Participates in all scheduled meetings as directed.
Successfully completes the Training courses.

Requirements

Willing to join a close-knit fitness team!
High school diploma or in progress.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Prior customer service is preferred.
Ability to multitask.
Basic computer skills.
