Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Fitness Instructor to lead fitness classes specifically designed for seniors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the physical capabilities and limitations of older adults and be passionate about promoting health, wellness, and a positive community atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and conduct classes. Develop and lead engaging group fitness sessions suitable for seniors, focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular health.

Safety First: Ensure all activities are safe and appropriate for the senior age group, adapting exercises to accommodate varying fitness levels and physical limitations.

Inspirational Leadership: Motivate participants with enthusiasm and encouragement, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Educational Guidance: Educate class members about safe exercise techniques and the importance of regular physical activity for aging populations.

Build Community: Encourage social interaction among class participants contributing to an overall sense of community and belonging.

Feedback and Adaptation: Regularly solicit feedback from participants and adjust progress to meet their evolving needs.

Maintain Expertise: Stay informed about th latest fitness trends and research related to senior health and fitness.

Equipment Management: Ensure all exercise equipment is properly used and maintained.

Qualifications:

Certificated in fitness instruction, preferably with a specialization in senior fitness (Silver Sneakers)
Proven experience in leading group fitness classes with a focus om senior populations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of first aid and CPR with a current certification
A compassionate end patient demeanor, with an understanding of the unique challenges faced by older adults.
