Facility Manager - Building and Equipment Maintenance
Job Description
The Facility Manager is responsible for the maintenance of gym facilities and fitness equipment. This role includes overseeing the housekeeping department to ensure high cleanliness and sanitation standards. The technician will manage housekeeping staff, focusing on task efficiency, recruitment, training, and safety protocols for chemical use. Experience with pool maintenance is preferred. Additional responsibilities include sourcing parts for repairs, collaborating with vendors, and updating the Facility Ticketing System.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform building maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting) along with preventative maintenance (PM) tasks.
- Maintain and repair all fitness equipment.
- Oversee the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Assist housekeeping staff in staying on task, and recruit, train, and develop team members on cleaning techniques and chemical safety.
- Implement cleaning schedules and conduct inspections for quality assurance.
- Maintain pool, spa, and sauna areas, ensuring safety and chemical balance; pool experience is preferred.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
- Conduct necessary carpentry repairs.
- Inspect safety equipment, including heating, air conditioning, and fire protection systems.
- Replace lamps and ballasts in lighting fixtures.
- Plan and execute painting projects, including touch-ups.
- Update the Facility Ticketing System to reflect service requests and maintenance work orders.
Compensation: $28.00 per hour
