- Train, supervise, motivate, and support the group exercise instructors.
- Perform annual performance reviews and provide regular feedback to group instructors.
- Meet budget monthly for the group exercise department including class pay, equipment, and other incentives.
- Complete weekly and end of the month stats.
- Recommend purchases for equipment, supplies, class formats, and all stereo equipment.
- Responsible for diagnosing, escalating necessary repairs.
- Contribute to the gym and employees overall success.
- Facilitate Gold's Gyms' mission, vision, and core values.
- Maintains info on club history, background, philosophy, facilities staff and policies.
- Has a thorough knowledge of, adheres to, and enforces company policies and procedures as they pertain to gym operations.
- Schedule group exercise classes and ensure that every class is staffed with a qualified instructor with proper certifications.
- Supervise all instructor substitutions.
- Publish class schedule and class descriptions with in – club signage and website.
- Attend/Conduct all required meetings.
- Assist with special fitness related club and community events as requested.
- Encourage participation and whenever possible host continuing professional education.
- Current CPR
- Current approved certification (ACE, AFFA, ACSM, Body Pump, Cycle, Spinning, etc.)
- Must demonstrate good communication skills, oral and written.
- Knowledge of instructional techniques.
- Knowledge of safe exercise technique and group fitness principles.
- Rhythm and movement skills.
- Supervise group exercise instructors.
- Monitor class participants to ensure safety and proper exercise technique.
- Monitor class participants to a minimum of 10 participants/class averages.
- Monitor equipment use, storage, and condition.
- Monthly progression reports. (2 for GGX)
